Swimming and Exotic Fruit

For Mother's day we went to a local market and filled our bags with exotic fruit. Some fared better than others. For those of you that haven't had the opportunity to witness the pool circus, you are in for a real treat. Timing is a little off at this stage of the season. This should be good. Tadaaaa, no wait. MORE? Holy cramoly! This move likely won't be performed in a few years. Alice in the foreground proving that it is possible to smile underwater.

Mother's Day?!

Wait a second... It's Mother's Day and they get ice cream?! Not fair!!! Just kidding. Lucy was treated like royalty with breakfast in bed, cards and poems, and a stroll at the Jean Talon market together. All that with a cherry on top!

Welcome baby Cecelia!

Gareth and Sarah's second daughter was born in January and we congregated in Kitchener for her christening a few weeks ago. It was lovely for all the kids to spend some time together and the long drive was made enjoyable with movies, company and OnRoutes.

Easter Witch?!?

Some friends introduced us to the Halloween Witch last year, who will exchange candy left by the front door for a small toy or a few dollars. So after Easter, Alice came up with the idea that there must also be an Easter Witch, and since she had more candy than she could eat (or that we would let her eat) she wanted to give it a try. Below is the note she left out, no prompting and no edits.

Land of Oz

Last month Lucy had a great work opportunity to travel to Australia to visit a few mines and rack up a ludicrous quantity of air miles. It was great to experience the rich colors and  warm weather, and to meet some friendly, low-key Aussies. We even squeezed in a half day of sightseeing at a croco-reptile exhibit. Here are are the few pics of taken on the fly that are not confidential!
