Baking with mummy

On Saturday, Alice had her first "front ride" in the baby carrier. Of course this was absolutely necessary since she had to give mum a hand in baking some banana bread.... It turned out great - must have been Alice's sweet touch! "More bananas and chocolate chips mum" Being a pastry chef could be interesting... but so tiring! Maybe we'll try souffle next time!?

Another brunch... another pretty dress!

nnn

See you soon, dad!

Guy is attending mining conventions in Winnipeg and Quebec city this week... so he had to leave his little family behind for a few days. To inspire his return, Alice showered him with lovely smiles!

Everyday fun!

Another check-up and... OUCH! What did he do that for?

Alice's two-month check-up was today... The great news is that she is in the 90th percentile for weight and height! The not so great part was that she had two vaccination shots. Although she only cried for a minute in the doctor's office, later that evening she was quite uncomfortable... which of course made mum & dad worried! Getting her specs! (so trusting) Recovering.

Baby swapping?!

We went to visit Jean-Francois, Christine and Olivier last night. What a lovely little family! Everyone was amazed at how little Olivier is and how big Alice is! Eights weeks makes a big difference at this age.

A walk in the woods

On Friday, we wet for a stroll in the woods near our house. We can now attest to the massive amounts of rain that this fall has brought us (and so can our shoes!) There's Guy strolling along... but where is Alice? There she is! Tucked safely away under her dad's jacket. What a comfortable way to travel!

Super bath!

A new bathing strategy has been established... Alice now has her bath immediately after a feeding in the evening. What a world of difference! She is blissfully happy in the bath, and enjoys looking at herself and her parents in the mirror. Fun for everyone!

12 pounds, 2 ounces of baby love!

Alice broke the 12 pound mark at her weigh-in yesterday (makes her sound like a race jockey or a beauty pageant contestant...) We love every ounce of her!

My new friend is finally here!

Yesterday we went to visit Christine, Jean-Francois, and their precious new baby, Olivier, at the hospital in Ste-Eustache. Olivier was born on Tuesday evening, weighing in at 8 lbs 6 oz. He has his dad's big hands and feet, and his mum's lovely lips! The proud parents and their healthy son. Congratulations! Alice can't wait to play with her new friend. Finally she is the older one!

An afternoon up north

We spent Sunday afternoon relaxing at the Potter household. Alice had a wonderful time with her grandparents and Uncle Gareth. Meanwhile, mummy went for a nap, and daddy played video games! Alice being serenaded! Gareth learns the soothing extra-deep double bounce... does the trick putting her to sleep every time! Alice loved the improvised mobile. Who needs Fisher-Price?! Admiring looks from Gran. Alice knew she could make a lot of money from the family...

The bear is back!

We just can't get enough of Alice in her bear suit... so here she is again!

Brunch with family

Here is Alice in her pretty new dress... ready for brunch with the Potter family. It was a lovely celebration - in honour of Gran's birthday, Gareth's return from Stratford, and Katherine's new ring! Alice ordered eggs benedict... she is definitely her father's daughter! Uncle Gareth is back from Stratford - yippee! Playing with Wendy, Katherine and Gareth The happy "newly-engageds"

Loving my swing!

We've discovered a new toy! Alice enjoys to swinging in her chair... ... although it does tend to lull her to sleep!

Play time with mummy & daddy!

Here are some of the fun things we are getting up to these days. Every day is more incredible than the last! Look how strong I am... thanks to the push-ups daddy has me do every day ! Mirror, mirror, held up high... Chatty time. Daddy said to look at the camera mummy, not at me! Can you say "book" Alice? Phew. All that work tired the little one out!
